CONNOR Hall hopes Port Vale can build on two successive League One wins as they take on Barnsley at Oakwell, today.

The centre-back is satisfied that the performance against Arsenal was a good one and it came off the back of triumphs against Exeter City and Mansfield Town.

Hall told the pre-match press conference: "The performance was a good one definitely and result doesn’t define us.

"It was a really strong performance and off the back of two league wins. We turn our attention back to the league and while the cup game was nice for everybody involved the most important thing is the league and that's what we get to look forward to."

Exeter helped hand two goals to Vale with two mistakes when Vale won 2-0 while they beat Mansfield 2-1 in the dying seconds with Ronan Curtis’ penalty winner.

But the main difference has been Devante Cole as Vale have found an even better replacement for Lorent Tolaj.
