Group to work with schools as it hails success of programme

ACAREERS and apprenticeship specialist is gearing up for the latest arrival of new apprentices and learners - weeks after a programme helped turn around the lives of those who took part.

Stoke-on-Trent based Spark Group will welcome six property maintenance apprentices, four gas maintenance apprentices, and eight learners on an introduction to work education programme.

The group will also work with schools to support pupils in danger of being lost to mainstream education in a project to be known as Reignite.

It follows the success of the company’s recent programme to support into work youngsters who had fallen through the cracks. In a project funded through Stoke-on-Trent City Council, the group took on eight young people who were not in education, employment, and training, known as NEETS.
