GREENHOFFS and Men Unite flew the flag for the North Staffs Sunday Football League with victories in the National Sunday FA Cup first round.

Greenhoffs produced a commanding performance against Worcester-based DC United, running out comfortable winners thanks to a brace from the inform Kyle Diskin.
Jake Langridge added a welltaken strike of his own, while an unfortunate own goal rounded off the scoring.
Meanwhile, Men Unite battled their way past last season’s Sentinel Cup champions, Oldfields, in a tense and hard-fought encounter.
The breakthrough came in the 66th minute when Lucas Smith found the net with a decisive finish.
In the Staffordshire FA Sunday Premier Cup first round, FC Lambourne advanced after an impressive win over Holmcroft, with Joshua Clayton leading the way by netting a fine brace.
Evans Ofori and James Miller also found the back of the net to complete a commanding display.
Elsewhere, Roebuck booked their spot in the next round with a superb win against fellow Premier Division side FC Maybank.
In what was expected to be a tight encounter, Roebuck’s frontline took control, with Josh Bristow bagging a brace and teammates Zach Hill, Matt Plant, and Jordan Lonczyk all getting on the scoresheet.
In the first round of the TB Williamson Cup,
Holditch Scramblers showed their quality from the outset, putting in a strong team performance to overcome Blurton Wanderers.
Alex Worrall was the star of the show, netting a well-deserved brace to put Holditch in control.
Jack Green and Adam Laraso also got on the scoresheet, rounding off a confident display that sees the Scramblers progress in style.
In the League Cup second round, The Foxley are through to the next round of the cup after a shootout victory over Abbey Hulton.
Foxley looked to be in control when they went 4-2 up with 20 minutes to play, but Abbey Hulton refused to lie down.
The visitors dug deep and found another gear, clawing their way back to 4-4 to set up a tense finale.
