Green Belt homes set for green light

Planners are due to meet tomorrow
PLANS to build up to nine homes in the Green Belt are set to be approved in principle.
Mohammed Saleem wants to develop land to the rear of High Street, in Alsagers Bank.
But the application has triggered objections from the parish council and 18 residents.
Now Newcastle Borough Council planners are recommending that 'permission in principle' is granted for the proposed development which will have between five and nine dwellings.
Planning officers say the site is considered sustainable and 'grey belt, meaning development would be appropriate.
