Wes Latocha’s Leek Town took a ninth-minute lead courtesy of Reuben Pointon in their home fixture, but sadly for Town, Pointon collected two yellow cards during the game and had to take an early bath.

In reply FC Hanley equalised in the 48th minute thanks to a Mitch Marcisz goal and the turnaround was complete when Liam Tomlin, pictured, scored what turned out to be the winner just after the hour.

With several games falling foul to the recent inclement weather, Rocester solidified second place with an emphatic 11-0 victory over AFC Alsager.

The Romans inflicted their first wounds on former Rocester manager Peter Griffiths’ South Cheshire side in the 11th minute when striker Jordan Dodd struck.

Two minutes later it was two, thanks to a Lewis Walker effort and on 16 minutes later Dodd struck once again notching his second and Rocester’s third.

A fourth arrived in the 30th minute courtesy of Sam Davies and a minute later Ben Horleston made it five.

In the second period when former Redgate man Gino Orlando struck four times with Will Mends adding to the tally on the hour and late substitute Taylor Fletcher adding an 11th in injury time to complete the rout.

Ball Haye Green, currently in third place, were held by local rivals Leek CSOB 1-1 when the sides clashed at Pointon Park in Cheddleton.
