Everton boss Moyes will be aiming high in new stadium
The Sentinel
|May 20, 2025
EVERTON manager David Moyes' ambition heading into the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is to restore the club to its former glory.
-
In his first spell in charge the Toffees regularly competed in European football and were often the best of the rest outside of the Champions League-chasing sides.
Everton cannot finish lower than 14th this season after their 2-0 win over bottom side Southampton but, after brushes with relegation in the previous three years, that is already a sign of progress.
Under Moyes, Everton have picked up 22 points from 19 matches since he replaced Sean Dyche in January. If he were to repeat that points per game ratio of 1.47 next season the Toffees would likely be pushing for the top eight.
