Congleton boss unhappy at 'some real schoolboy stuff' as Bears suffer opening day setback

BOSS Richard Duffy described the errors made by his Congleton Town team as "schoolboy" in his team's 3-1 loss at Sporting Khalsa on the opening day.

The ex-Port Vale defender - who played himself in the club's Northern Premier League West Division opener - knows improvement is a must.

"There was some good stuff, some average stuff and some really schoolboy stuff which cost us the game really," he told the club.

"The goals, especially the first two we conceded, you probably wouldn't see on a Sunday park at U10s level. But it is what it is. We need to learn from it. We will learn from it and we've got to get better.
