Hacienda legend to headline Jollees event for charity founded by cancer campaigner
GRIEVING husband Mark Rackham is organising a fundraising club night to support the charity set up by his ‘wonderful’ wife.
Mum-of-two Kate died of breast cancer aged just 46 in June last year, having co-founded the Fighting To Be Heard Foundation and spoken openly about the illness.
Now Mark, who grew up in Wolstanton, is holding a fundraiser tomorrow - headlined by legendary Hacienda DJ Dave Haslam - to raise cash for the charity, which acts as a voice for thousands of patients living with secondary breast cancer.
Kate was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, before a terminal secondary diagnosis in 2018. The defiant mum ‘fought until the very end,’ throwing two charity club nights in Manchester with help from Mark.
