Brady targets ‘normal’ approach to keep Vale in hunt for survival

The Valiants boss heads into his first league game in charge of the club, tomorrow, in what is, coincidentally, the 150th anniversary game and he would like nothing better than to earn three vital points.

He hopes the players can deliver a positive result against 13th-placed Exeter City and learn from the mistakes of last week at Mansfield when Vale conceded three goals in 12 minutes.

Speaking at the club’s pre-match press conference, Brady said: “When we went a goal down against Mansfield we went off plan.

“We have done a bit of work this week to make sure that doesn’t happen. Let’s normalise it, when we are in games, we are going to go a goal down, but I feel obviously with the position we are in and the group seems to have their mindset, it changes in that moment.
