Friends and family remember father on the first anniversary of his death
TRIBUTES have been paid on the first anniversary of the death of a ‘happy-go-lucky’ dad who impaled himself on a spiked fence while on a night out.
Adam ‘Pidge’ Mountford ‘bled to death’ after he became stuck on a fence near St George's Church in Newcastle town centre last year.
The 34-year-old, from Fenton, somehow freed himself and ran back into the town where he collapsed on a zebra crossing.
Now, one year on from the tragedy, Adam has been remembered by loved-ones as ‘larger than life character’ with a ‘huge personality’ who was ‘loved by many’
He has also been described as a ‘free-spirited ray of sunshine’ who had time for everyone and anyone and was ‘known by nearly everyone’ in Fenton.
Adam had also travelled and ‘really learned who he was’ while exploring Thailand.
