Cresswell wants cracking bet365 Stadium atmosphere to continue when Wrexham come calling
AARON Cresswell admits he has been surprised at the atmosphere at the bet365 Stadium so far this season.
Cresswell’s Stoke City are preparing to resume what has been a positive start to the campaign when they take on Wrexham on Saturday.
They do so in fifth place and having lost just two of their first nine matches. Goals and wins were a little harder to come by in September than they were in August but the summer signing remains upbeat.
And fans have responded to the positive start with attendances of more than 25,000 in three of the first four home games - already equalling the number of times that was achieved in the whole of last season.
Victories over Derby and Birmingham have helped - and the club are expecting the biggest crowd of the season this weekend.
Cresswell says he has enjoyed playing in the ‘cauldron’ for a team he thinks has shown it can compete at the right end of the league after years of failing to do so.
