48-year-old is addressing his drink problem
The Sentinel
|September 29, 2025
DRUNKEN John Whitmore threw alcohol at a pub manager who told him to get out of his premises.
The 48-year-old was ordered to leave The Wheatsheaf, Stoke, below, which is owned by Wetherspoons.
In response, he threw cider over the manager and then hurled the empty glass towards him. On another occasion he damaged a mobility scooter in Newcastle town centre.
Now Whitmore has been handed a six-month conditional discharge at North Staffordshire Justice Centre.
Prosecutor Emma Thompson said Whitmore was drunk and abusive to another patron in The Wheatsheaf on April 30.
