PET posts lying vacant at 115 high schools in Cuttack district

CUTTACK: The lack of Physical Education Teachers (PETs) and proper playgrounds is severely affecting both physical education and sports activities at several government-run high schools in Cuttack district.

Physical education is a crucial subject that aims to develop students' skills, knowledge, and behaviour in physical activity, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. PETs play an essential role in designing and delivering physical education programs, encouraging students to engage in sports and physical activities.
However, the posts of PETs have remained vacant in 115 high schools across the district, including 71 government-run, 20 fully aided, and 24 newly taken over schools.
