Toyota posts 45% rise in xEV sales

Leading automotive firm Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMP) posted a 45 percent increase in electrified vehicle (xEV) sales from January to November compared to a year ago, reflecting growing demand for this new type of vehicles.
In a statement, TMP said its total xEV sales covering Toyota and Lexus models, reached 16,986 units as of end-November, up by 45 percent from 11,745 units in the same period last year.
The growth in xEV sales was seen as TMP expands its XEV lineup.
TMP recently rolled out the bZ4X, Toyota's first battery electric vehicle (BEV).
Last October, the firm also launched its most affordable xEV model, the ATIV hybrid electric vehicle (HEV).
