It's Happy Hour for San Miguel Beer.

- By OLMIN LEYBA

SMB ROLLS OUT BARREL OF FUN

In the same venue in Pasig City where the franchise completed a rare PBA grand slam back in 1989, the Beermen sealed their return as Season 49 Philippine Cup kings and stopped TNT's own quest for the PBA's Holy Grail.

Foiled two nights ago, SMB went about the business of closeout in Game 6 on this cold, wet Friday at the PhilSports Arena like a heavy-hitting boxer going for the KO blows, 107-96.

When the final buzzer sounded, SMB happily went to center-court as white confetti showered the arena formerly known as the ULTRA, which 36 years ago, served as venue of San Miguel's previous Triple Crown-clinching 122-111 victory over the Anejo Rum in Game 5 of the Reinforced Conference.
