PNP beefs up Christmas security

The Philippine National Police has intensified security measures ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays, deploying over 41,000 PNP personnel to ensure public safety and deter criminals.
PNP public information office chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said the deployment of police personnel would begin on Dec. 15.
Fajardo said police officers would not be allowed to take leave during the holidays, except for emergencies.
