Malacañang is awaiting the revelations of flood control scam suspect and resigned lawmaker Zaldy Co, who was arrested last Thursday after entering the Czech Republic without proper documentation.

- By ALEXIS ROMERO

"The question should be, how ready is Zaldy Co to tell the truth? If he is ready to say - we are not saying he is guilty - who were with him?" Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said at a press briefing on Friday when asked how ready is President Marcos for Co's return to the Philippines.

"The President, I repeat, was the one who started the investigation into anomalous flood control projects. He was the first one to order an investigation into the alleged corruption. The President is ready to listen to everything that the involved persons who should be accountable before the law may say," she added.

The former representative of Ako Bicol party-list was arrested in Prague for illegal entry and is now in the custody of Czech authorities. The interior department said his deportation might take up to three weeks.
