Martin del Rosario takes a breather after 'darkest' role yet

Martin del Rosario will set his sights on acting in films after playing the antagonist Ivan in the successful season two run of "Lolong: Pangil ng Maynila," said the actor in a recent chat, made possible by the show's publicity group for its finale week and episode.

Although his portrayal was inspired and he disappeared in the role, immersing himself in the character's world was daunting and exhausting.

That's why actors like Martin take a breather to totally step out of the character to recharge and start anew for the next role to take in. Doing so is as important as preparing physically and mentally for a forthcoming project.

In the local showbiz parlance, it is called "pagpag" or shaking the character off the actor's system.
