HOW A GEN Z TEAM CONQUERED SOCIAL MEDIA AND REDEFINED NEWS
In December 2024, The Philippine STAR's Facebook page recorded its 10 millionth follower. Behind this milestone is a group of Gen Z social media geniuses who, every day, sit at their laptops concocting various ways to deliver the truth while speaking the audience's language.
"We don't just deliver news; we tell stories that inspire, spark curiosity, challenge critical thinking, and tug at the heart," says Pauline del Rosario, head of The Philippine STAR's Social Media and Video Lab.
The team's efforts have paid off handsomely. "Today, The Philippine STAR is the most followed print news organization in the country, even overtaking competitors who started earlier," del Rosario adds.
