Is San Beda joining UAAP?

There is talk that the UAAP Board of Trustees, composed of school presidents, will decide on whether or not to welcome San Beda University into the league in a meeting next month.

It’s no secret that San Beda has knocked on the UAAP’s door for years but what's curious is why it’s taking this long to determine the viability of participating.FEU is next season’s UAAP host and it appears a schedule has been prepared for men’s basketball to accommodate a ninth team without extending the calendar. The only adjustment may be to play four games on a Wednesday so that’s not a major impediment. The notion that UAAP must take in two schools for an even number to expand apparently isn’t a concern. However, another school CEU fas sent feelers that it’s interested to join UAAP although the intent hasn't been formalized.
