HYUNDAI MOTOR PHILIPPINES' STELLAR 2024 AND BEYOND

The Philippine Star

|

January 29, 2025

It seems fitting that Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has two 'star' models and was able to actually have a stellar year for themselves.

- By Vincent Villa

They consistently made headlines for bringing in the best cars like the award-winning Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and taking it close to the people who need it—but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Sales matter for sure, but things are more than that. Find out how Hyundai Motor Philippines achieved significant growth in 2024 and their plans for this year in this write-up.

2024 Sales Jumped to 32 Percent, Up From 2023

Hyundai finished 2024 in the eighth spot for overall New Car Sales in the Philippines with a remarkable 32 percent growth. This is much higher than even the top five brands had for the same period. It's not surprising, too, as HMPH worked hard on making sure their cars are visible in highly populated areas all year long.

12,023 Units Sold in 2024

Their position in the rankings might have stayed the same, but Hyundai finally went back to five-digit car sales for 2024 with 12,023 units sold. This is a significant jump from their performance in the previous year, where they finished 2023 with 9,130.

Last Month Shopping

Some took their time before making their decision, while others waited for their bonuses before they signed those forms. Whatever the reason may be, December proved to be HMPH's most fruitful month with 1,257 units sold in that month alone.

Star Models

Hyundai might be making headlines globally with the Ioniq 5 N but in the Philippines, a totally different car put it up in the rankings.
