Hayao Miyazaki to be honored at filmfest

Japanese master filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki will be honored with this year's prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award.

Miyazaki is the co-founder of Studio Ghibli whose animated works explore complex human issues and inspire audiences with thought-provoking films that champion nature, peace, and humanity.
To celebrate this milestone, The Japan Foundation, Manila (JFM) together with mm2, the official partner of Studio Ghibli and the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation will showcase six of Miyazaki's most beloved works in a free mini film festival at the Shangri-la Plaza Red Carpet Cinema on Nov. 16 and 17.
