The Game of My Life
John Wilson chose basketball as a way to help his family. He had already been working as a tricycle driver when the opportunity came to enter the PBA Rookie Draft. Though he still had one year left to play for Jose Rizal University in 2010, he and his manager decided it was time to strike while the iron was hot. The Binangonan native had just won the NCAA Most Valuable Player award.
"When my name was called, I heard a lot of people screaming," the 6'2" shooting guard remembers. "I found out that those were Ginebra fans. I never really knew how popular Ginebra was!"
