DAVID ARCHULETA BARES THE FUN AND FLIRTY — AS IN PLAYFUL — SIDE of him in his latest single, Crème Brulée. The "American Idol" runner-up-turned-international recording artist simply shows how attuned and confident he is to his sense of sexiness and self, as captured in the song lyrics, its music video and choreography.

DAVID ARCHULETA TAKES A BREATHER FROM POWER BALLADS WITH PLAYFUL NEW MUSIC

Definitely, fans and music enthusiasts like this one love everything about it and find the musical project delectable.

Crème Brulée signals a new direction in music, narrative- and genre-wise, that singer-songwriter David might tread on, yes, from here on.

"I wanted it to be tasty. I love food, and I do love my desserts," answered David to the question from The STAR about the idea behind the food metaphor or reference in a recent virtual press conference that was also attended by other media and print members.

"Having that metaphor, it's like, OK, like they wanted, they liked the taste, and they want more. So, I thought Crème Brulée would be a fun way to say that. So, it's kinda like hard opening. You have to crack it open to get to the good stuff, too. But once you get there, it's delicious," added he.

As for what personal experience or insight about someone's brewing romance inspired the song, David had this to share: "I would say as I've gotten more comfortable in who I am and (have) been more just open to other people, especially coming out, like I feel like when I came out, I also started to go to the gym more.
