Calabarzon has worst classroom shortage - DepEd

Region 4-A or Calabarzon has the highest classroom shortage in the country with 31,002, a ranking official of the Department of Education (DepEd) revealed yesterday.
At a forum in Makati City, DepEd Undersecretary for strategic management Ronald Mendoza noted that the deficit has grown over time, largely due to population growth.
The National Capital Region followed Region 4-A with 24,847 classrooms needed, while the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao ranked third with 13,237.
