ACEN Scouting for Offshore Wind Partners

Ayala-led ACEN Corp. is on the lookout for potential strategic and technical partners to anchor its bold push into the offshore wind space.
In a recent interview, ACEN president and CEO Eric Francia said the company is actively seeking partners to bring vital expertise in the development of its planned offshore wind projects.
"We don't have the expertise (in offshore wind development). So if and when we do offshore wind projects, we will definitely have to do it with a strategic and technical partner," Francia said.
Currently, the ACEN Group holds three offshore wind service contracts awarded by the Department of Energy.
Latest DOE data showed that the company has secured contracts to develop a 1,024-megawatt offshore wind project in Batangas and another 1,024-MW facility in Cagayan.
