Globe leads the way with green network and sustainable practices
-
As the Philippines accelerates its transition to sustainability, Globe stands at the forefront, championing innovative approaches to environmental stewardship.
With near-term goals of reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 42 percent and Scope 3 emissions by 25 percent by 2030, Globe is making significant progress toward its net-zero target by 2050. To achieve this, Globe combines cutting-edge green network solutions and sustainable practices.
Globe already achieved a 4.42 percent and 18.16 percent reduction of its combined Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions in 2022 and 2023, respectively. The reductions are attributable to the company's energy efficiency programs, and shift to renewable energy, among others.
Through such forward-thinking programs and extensive green milestones, Globe has solidified its status as the country's Most Sustainable Brand for 2024.
"Our journey toward sustainability is about making bold choices today that ensure a better tomorrow. By aligning our operations with renewable energy, integrating intelligent technologies into our networks, and rethinking traditional practices, we're helping shape a sustainable future for our communities and the entire industry," said Yoly Crisanto, Globe's chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.
