On 11 December, Disney announced a $1bn deal with OpenAI, granting its Sora video platform access to Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars characters.
Disney chief executive Bob Iger, right, claimed the deal “will thoughtfully and responsibly extend the reach of our storytelling through generative AI”.
