Action on rogue asylum advisers

Sham lawyers and banned advisers have been increasingly identified acting as middlemen in the immigration system, according to the Home Office.
The rogue actors, who offer desperate asylum seekers guidance on how to lodge fraudulent claims, face tough new enforcement measures to be announced this week.
In many cases they provide poor quality or deliberately fraudulent advice, overcharge for services or take large fees for processes that should cost little or nothing.
