War punishes border people most: Sajad Lone in shelling-hit Uri

Addressing reporters during his visit to shelling-hit areas of Uri in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, Lone, as per the news agency, said, “War punishes the most those who have the least to do with it — our border population.”

He expressed serious concern over the devastation caused by the recent escalation of hostilities along the Line of Control (LoC).

The MLA said, “The destruction here is evident. Families have lost their homes, their livelihoods and their sense of security. We will appeal to the government to compensate the losses fully and fairly.”
