Suri urges revival of Jammu tourism amid security concerns

In response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack and ongoing Operation Sindoor, BJP Executive Member Raman Suri has called on the J&K administration to take immediate action to revive tourism in the Jammu division, citing its crucial role as the gateway to the Union Territory.

Suri expressed alarm over the sharp decline in pilgrim visits to sacred sites like Mata Vaishno Devi, and warned that confidence in upcoming pilgrimages such as the Amarnath Ji Yatra and Machail Mata Yatra is waning. He emphasized that pilgrimage tourism is the backbone of Jammu’s economy, and any disruption directly affects thousands of livelihoods.
