Jailed wife of slain bike racer moves SC for bail

IN a dramatic development in the high-profile murder case of international motorbike racer Asbak Mon Tharoth, who was killed in 2018, his accused wife, Sumera Parvez, has moved the Supreme Court seeking bail.
Parvez, who has been in prison for the past two years, argues that she is a mother of a young child who urgently needs her care and affection.
