Few takers as 5.5K govt schools have zero student enrollment for Class I

THE government's primary education system seems to be having few takers in Madhya Pradesh.
In as many as 5,501 schools, zero enrolment of students has been reported in Class I standard.
According to the latest statistics (as on September 13, 2024) pertaining to enrolment of students in Class I in government schools, 5501 schools (which were 7% of the total 78,542 schools having primary sections) reported zero student enrolment for the 2024-25 academic session.
