Expedite release of metro rail fund okayed by centre: CM to union min

CHIEF Minister M K Stalin on Saturday urged the Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar to expedite the release of funds, approved by the Union Cabinet for the Chennai Metro Rail Project, as soon as possible.
Khattar held a joint review meeting with the CM on the second phase of the rail project at the CMRL headquarters in Nandanam.
Speaking at the meeting, Stalin said, "First of all, I express my gratitude to the honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the union government for accepting my request for implementing the second phase of the metro rail project in the same manner as the first phase."
The CM said all efforts are being made by his government to complete work as per the deadline.
