Beware of 'Jumped Deposit Scam', SP cautions people

SUPERINTENDENT of Police (SP) Vakul Jindal on Wednesday appealed the district people to beware of the 'Jumped Deposit Scam', the new modus operandi of the cyber fraudsters to loot the UPI users.
Several cyber fraudsters are targeting UPI users by making small deposits into their accounts and then using psychological tactics to deceive them into authorising larger payment requests. Therefore, people should know about the 'Jumped Deposit Scam' to protect themselves from the scammers," he said. He released a press note on 'Jumped Deposit Scam' and precautions to be taken by the individuals to avoid such cyber-crimes.
