M Ramadass, president of Puducherry Maanila Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam and former Lok Sabha member, blasted the Puducherry government for celebrating the 76th Republic Day with "undue pomp and show," while allegedly violating constitutional principles.
In a statement, Ramadass questioned whether the government had the right to mark Republic Day when its actions, he claimed, were contrary to the spirit of the Constitution.
