POINTING at the allocation of more funds for the development of Sanskrit, Chief Minister MK Stalin criticised Narendra Modi, alleging the PM's "great love" for Tamil never reflected in his action.

In the eighth part of his series of letters explaining the state's opposition to Hindi imposition, published in DMK's party organ Murasoli, the party president said, "From 2014 to 2023, the union government had allotted ₹2,435 crore funds for the Sanskrit Universities, whereas Central Institute of Classical Tamil was allotted just ₹167 crore in the same period."
