Law Students Submit Plea to SP, Seek Action Against 'Drunk' Cop for Assault

A group of students from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College on Saturday submitted a petition at the Superintendent of Police's office in Sathuvachari, seeking disciplinary action against Srinivasan, a police inspector attached to the North Police Station, for allegedly behaving in a disrespectful manner and also assaulting one of them.
Speaking to reporters after submitting the petition, S. Sivachandru, one of the students, said that around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, the students were at a bakery, purchasing snacks while waiting to send off one of their friends at the New Bus Stand.
