MEMBER of Legislative Council Bhoomireddy Rammgopal Reddy on Sunday announced that the Akshaya Patra Foundation will soon take over meal services at all four Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) campuses—located in Idupulapaya, Nuzvid, Ongole, and Srikakulam—ensuring hygienic and nutritious food for students.

The move follows a student protest at the Idupulapaya IIIT campus on Saturday, where students alleged that insects were found in food served by the existing mess contractor. Responding to the incident, he visited the campus on Sunday, accompanied by IIIT Director Kumar Swamy Gupta, Administrative Officer Ravikumar, and other officials.
