Probe into TUDA scam intensifies

THE Vigilance and Enforcement Department has stepped up its investigation into the alleged ₹300 crore misappropriation in the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA), issuing a second round of notices to former YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, his son Chevireddy Mohith Reddy, and 30 other officials, including Group-1 officers and TUDA staff from the YSRCP regime.
Despite notices being served two weeks ago, both Chevireddy and his son have failed to respond.
A senior Vigilance official told TNIE that 31 cases of irregularities have been identified, prompting fresh notices after the lapse of the initial deadline.
