Vaishno Devi board, J&K L-G under fire for deaths
THE flood situation in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh continued to remain grim on Thursday as heavy rains in the catchment areas of Himachal and Jammu swelled the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers, inundating villages, damaging infrastructure, and cutting off road links.
In Punjab, eight districts have been severely affected, with 518 villages underwater, more than 5,290 people evacuated, and three deaths reported so far.
