Both the carmakers make their debut in the country's mass electric vehicle market

Two of India's largest carmakers - Maruti Suzuki (MSIL) and Hyundai Motor (HMIL) - unveiled/launched their much-awaited electric vehicles (EV) on Friday at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo (BGME) 2025.

While MSIL unveiled its first electric vehicle - the e Vitara SUV - and said that its price and booking will be announced very soon, Hyundai launched the Creta Electric at an introductory price of ₹17.99 lakh, which goes up to ₹23.49 lakh for the top-end variant.
