EXPRESSING serious concern over the fact that how DMK leader V Senthil Balaji was reinstated as a minister in the Tamil Nadu government, days after he was granted bail in a money laundering case, the Supreme Court on Friday noted that it was "terribly wrong" to do so.
The two-judge bench of the apex court, led by Justice Abhay S Oka and Justice Augustine George Masih, passed these remarks on Friday, as it was hearing a plea filed by one of the complainants in the case, K Vidhya Kumar, seeking recall of the court's September 26 verdict that released Balaji on bail after his incarceration since June 2023.
