- EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @ Pattambi

The spread of dengue fever is raising serious concerns in the Pattambi constituency, with 128 confirmed cases reported as of Saturday. Patients are seeking treatment at both government and private hospitals across the region.

The highest number of infections has been recorded in Ongallur panchayat, where 67 people have tested positive for dengue. Pattambi Municipality has reported 22 cases, followed by Muthuthala with 15, Vilayur 11, Koppam 9, Kulukkallur 8, and Thiruvegapura 6. These are official figures, but unofficial estimates suggest the actual number of infections could be two to three times higher.
