THE INDIA bloc leaders held a third meeting in Patna on Sunday to formulate a strategy for better coordination among its six constituents at the state, block and district levels ahead of the Bihar assembly elections scheduled later this year.

- RAMASHANKAR @ Patna

Speaking to the press after the meeting, senior RJD leader and MP Manoj Jha exuded confidence that the opposition alliance would give shape to the "wind of change" sweeping the state ahead of the polls. "The coordination committee is working on a joint election manifesto and joint election campaign," he said.

It was the third meeting of the INDIA bloc comprising RJD, Congress, CPI-ML, CPI, CPI(M) and VIP. "The meeting was successful as leaders of all six allies unanimously decided to work together to strengthen coordination at grassroot levels," Jha told the media.
