|July 13, 2025
A DAY after the Indian Super League (ISL) was put on hold by its organizers—the Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the All India Football Federation—on Saturday (AIFF) has responded to the letter, stating that it needs to respect the 'law of the land.'
They said that the hold was based on the Supreme Court directive issued on April 26 ordering the AIFF and FSDL to stall talks over extending the Master Rights Agreement (MRA). In its statement, the AIFF said that it opened talks for an extension of the agreement on November 21, 2024.
