In a major step to tackle faculty shortages, the State government has relaxed promotion norms for Associate Professors in medical colleges, aligning with National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
Approved by CM N Chandrababu Naidu, the one-time measure allows promotion with just one year of service instead of the required three, ensuring adequate faculty for MBBS admissions in 2025-26. This applies to both old and new col
