THE Centre has issued a notification to promote the sustainable exploitation of fisheries within India's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
The newly introduced rules, titled 'Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries in the Exclusive Economic Zone Rules, 2025', focus on licensing, registration, and scientific monitoring of fishing activities in the EEZ.
