CRUDE oil prices are rising, with Brent crude surging to $76 per barrel—its highest level since September 2023. The surge is attributed to intensifying conflict between Israel and Iran, disrupting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and raising fears of US involvement. As per a report, a few tankers caught fire near the Strait, later confirmed to be the result of a collision between two vessels.
