MUZRAI officials and temple management committee members not allowing Sha Khadri family descendants and dargah devotees to offer roti baji to Mamamjugni inside the Datta Peeta cave shrine kicked up a row, leading to a 'verbal fight' between Muslims and Vishwa Hindu Parishat leaders.
It all started when Muzrai department executive officer Ranganath and temple managing committee members prevented a procession of devotees from entering the cave shrine to offer roti baji to Mamamjugni. Then the dargah devotees shouted slogans against the government, the DC and Muzrai officials.
Sha Khadri descendant and Baba Budangiri Dargah general secretary Syed Fakruddeen Sha Khadri at a press conference on Wednesday accused the Muzrai EO of curtailing their religious rights by denying permission to conduct Fateha religious celebration.
